Save your money for an actual natural history museum. It’s literally a single room for $25 a person that is not kid friendly with having to pay extra for a fake fossil dig experience. The owner seems preoccupied with a shrine to himself and his wife, and I’m still uncomfortable with the smarmy self-aggrandizing video you’re forced to endure. My kids were equally weirded out and disappointed. They were expecting The Field Museum or Kids Museum in Indy, with multiple rooms, floors, exhibits, interactions, tours, etc. Things you associate with a “museum”. There’s none of that and it’s really as bad as people say. Read the google reviews. All the positive reviews on there are either employees, friends of the owner, or people who have never been here. Or maybe they did visit but there is no possibly way a paying guest would rate this place above 2 stars. We paid over $130 and we could have got an annual family pass to Field Museum for only $200. What a waste, and I’d avoid this tourist trap.

If you're looking for a fun and educational outing in Indiana, the Dinosaur Museum is an absolute must-visit! Our family had an amazing time exploring this hidden gem. The museum is packed with impressive displays, including full-scale dinosaur skeletons, fossils, and informative exhibits that make the world of dinosaurs come alive.
What stood out most was the museum's ability to cater to all ages. Our kids had a blast with the interactive exhibits—there were plenty of hands-on activities, like fossil digging stations and augmented reality experiences that let them "discover" dinosaurs. The adults, on the other hand, enjoyed the detailed exhibits, which covered everything from the Triassic period to the age of the T. rex. It’s a great place for anyone interested in paleontology or just curious about prehistoric life.
The museum is small but well-organized, and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. They even offer guided tours if you're looking for a more in-depth experience. We also appreciated the gift shop, which had tons of fun dinosaur-themed souvenirs for kids and adults alike.
Overall, the Indiana Dinosaur Museum is a fantastic spot for families, school groups, or anyone with a fascination for dinosaurs. It’s not too big, so you can easily explore it in a couple of hours, but it’s packed with enough cool exhibits to make it a memorable visit. Highly recommend it!
